Daniel is an independent data warehouse and business intelligence consultant, and since 2000 he has been working in or with primarily mid-sized firm in San Diego County and southern Orange County. In 2007, he started DecisionLab as his independent consulting firm. Over time, Daniel’s work covered requirements analysis, dimensional modeling, development of OLAP cubes, dashboards and finally data warehouses themselves. Recently, he has been establishing the concept of the “Lean Data Warehouse”, an inherently adaptable, pattern-based approach to data architecture accomplished by extending popular Agile ModelStorming methods all the way upstream into data sources — and combining that with emerging “ensemble-based” EDW models that support a less brittle, more innately adaptable integration of entities within and across SQL and NoSQL-based data sets.
