Jerry Modes: Partner of Business Ingenuity, is a data systems entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience designing and managing enterprise data warehouse solutions. Jerry has a strong development management background and is the founder of two successful new-concept companies – Teradata and HyperParallel. As a visionary leader who motivates and builds highly effective teams, Jerry has an impressive record of achievements in creating and growing startup companies in the technology industry. In 1994, he founded and led HyperParallel, which developed and sold high-performance business intelligence software; HyperParallel was acquired by Yahoo in 1999. Teradata, which Jerry co-founded, pioneered relational database computer systems. Teradata (NYSE: TDC) was acquired by AT&T in 1992, and subsequently spun-out in 2007, and currently has sales of $1.7 billion. Previously, Jerry worked at Citicorp, where he was involved with the introduction of the first ATM machines.
