The Continuum of Self-Service Analytics
Summary:
Self-service is one of the biggest trends in analytics and there are two key ways to address it: a platform approach for including self-service ad hoc-style analysis in BI or a data discovery approach that provides everyday users with an exploratory experience. During this presentation we will cover best practices in both approaches and also discuss embedded analytics and what the platform of the future will look like.

Mr. Brinkmann has over 15 years of analytics and business intelligence software experience. Prior to joining the company, he held senior product strategy, management, and marketing positions with MicroStrategy. He also worked as a senior consultant with MicroStrategy creating BI applications for marquee customers such as Nike and Franklin Templeton. Mr. Brinkmann holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a MEM from the McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, both at Northwestern University, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
