Summary:

We look forward to discussing how Looker is different and how we have gained traction in the BI space. Looker has taken a very different approach to BI and we are excited to share the details and hear feedback from the BBBT. Lloyd Tabb, Founder, Chairman and CTO will discuss our product, with a live demo, our go-to-market and positioning strategies, and where Looker has achieved the best product-market fit. Looker has surpassed 250 customers since it’s launch 2 years ago.

From writing the first application server for the web to designing the first crowd-sourced ecosystem, Lloyd Tabb has spent the last 25 years revolutionizing how the world uses the internet and, by extension, data. Originally a database and languages architect at Borland International, Lloyd left to found Commerce Tools (acquired by Netscape in 1995). At Netscape he became the Principal Engineer on Netscape Navigator Gold, led several releases of Communicator, and helped define the creation of Mozilla.org. Prior to founding Looker, Lloyd was the CTO of LiveOps, co-founder of Readyforce and found then advisor to Luminate, recently acquired by Yahoo!. Lloyd combined his passion for data exploration and discovery, his love of programming languages, and his commitment to developing and nurturing talent to found Looker and change the face of the Business Intelligence market.

Zach Taylor, Product Marketing Lead

Zach was one of the first data analysts at Looker and now leads product marketing. Zach has worked with numerous data teams and built hundreds of data models using Looker/SQL. Prior to Looker, Zach was a financial analyst, web developer and startup founder.
