Summary:
Organizations struggle with the paradox of becoming more real-time while data complexity and volume continues to explode. To achieve the “as-it-happens” business, data architecture must change. With the integration of MapR Streams, comes the industry’s first and only converged data platform that integrates file, database, event streaming, and analytics to accelerate data-driven applications. In this session, product leaders from MapR will share stories from innovative customers that are shaping the future of enterprise computing and review the convergence of data-in-motion with data-at-rest across Hadoop, Spark, and other open source projects. MapR will also share upcoming product releases which bring additional enterprise-grade capabilities to increase reliability, security, efficiency, and performance.

Steve Wooledge – VP Product Marketing
Steve is responsible for communicating the business value and technical advantages of MapR. Steve was previously Vice President of Marketing for Teradata Unified Data Architecture, where he drove big data and Hadoop strategy. Steve has also held various roles in product and corporate marketing at Aster Data, Interwoven, and Business Objects, as well as sales and engineering roles at Business Objects and Dow Chemical. When not working, Steve enjoys juggling activities for his 5 kids and sneaking in some cycling or ski trips when he can.
Will Ochandarena – Director of Product Management
Will responsible for cloud, streaming, and converged platform strategy. Prior to MapR, Will spent several years in different roles at Cisco, most recently as product manager for the data center network switches. Will has an engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
Mitesh Shah – Senior Product Manager
Mitesh is responsible for security and data governance strategy. Prior to MapR, Mitesh held several positions in enterprise security at organizations including the Federal Reserve and Salesforce.com. Mitesh has a degree in Computer Science from Cornell, and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
