Introducing Outlier
Summary:
Outlier is a new way of thinking about business intelligence. Instead of creating dashboards or running queries in reaction to questions or problems that arise, Outlier automatically watches all of your business data for you and proactively notifies you when something unexpected happens. Outlier connects to your business data where it lives – e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Cloud, Salesforce, Stripe, SQL databases – and sifts through the myriad metrics and dimensions to understand your business cycles, trends and patterns for each segment of your customers. With Outlier, you’ll get the headlines of your business each day and never again wonder about what you might be missing.
Outlier has been in a private Beta until now, so our BBBT presentation will be the first time you can see Outlier’s unique approach to business intelligence and our vision for how it will change the way companies use data to make decisions. We will present the Outlier product to the BBBT community, showing live demonstrations and answering questions.

Sean Byrnes – CEO
Sean founded Outlier to solve the growing problem of data overload in corporations today. Prior to Outlier, Sean was the founder of Flurry, the leader in advertising and analytics services for mobile applications acquired by Yahoo! in 2014. He is also an advisor, mentor and angel investor in the San Francisco bay area. Sean holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and and an M.Eng. in Computer Science from Cornell University.
Doug Mitarotonda – Head of Customer Development
Doug works with Outlier’s existing clients to improve their relationship between their people and their data and expands the customer base to help other market leaders make better use of the tools they already have. He has been connecting people with data his whole career in various industries: sports and live entertainment (Qcue), electric power industry (The Brattle Group), and climate change policy (NYSDEC). Doug received his Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University. He also holds an M.Eng. in computer science and a B.A. in computer science, mathematics and Asian studies, both from Cornell.
