Summary:
New requirements for faster, more agile analytics are creating big challenges for existing information architectures. Increasingly, there is simply too much data to physically move into a data warehouse and not enough time to move it all. The answer may be data virtualization. It eliminates the need to move data, allowing isolated slilos of information to be represented as a single, logical data source – effectively moving the analytics closer to the information source.
