Paul Kent – Vice President of Big Data
Paul Kent coordinates with customers, partners and R&D teams to make sure the SAS development road map is taking world-class mathematics to the biggest, baddest problems out there. Kent joined SAS in 1984 as a Technical Marketing Representative and eventually moved into the Research and development division. He has used SAS for more than 30 years and contributed to the development of SAS software components including PROC SQL, the WHERE clause, TCP /IP connectivity, portions of the Output Delivery System (OD S) and, most recently, the Massively Parallel approaches for performing SAS work. A strong customer advocate, Kent is widely recognized within the SAS community for his active participation in local and international users conferences.
Greg Hodges – Director of BI Product Management
Greg Hodges and his team are responsible for defining requirements and providing direction for components of the SAS Business Intelligence (BI) product suite. The key focus of the group is to provide users of the SAS BI platform with the ability to receive and deliver actionable content across the spectrum of devices and technologies that have been widely adopted by enterprise organizations. He often works and communicates with customer and analysts to access market drivers and trends to ensure SAS’ BI products deliver the key capabilities needed by customers and prospects. Previously at SAS, Greg was a manager in the Professional Services Division and worked closely with customers to implement a variety of SAS products and solutions. Additionally, Greg worked in the Research and Development Division building solutions used to fight financial crimes. Specifically he was a development manager/lead for both the SAS Anti-Money Laundering solution as well as the Fraud Management Solution. Prior to joining SAS, Greg was a software engineer for measurements Group Inc. which is a leading supplier of strain gauges, instruments, and accessories for experimental stress analysis and precision transducers.
