Summary:
Last time Teradata presented to BBBT, we spent the time on the Aster Discovery Platform. This time we’ll broaden our scope to talk about our Big Data Strategy, give you new information about the Unified Data Architecture™, but will spend at least 50% of the time describing what we’ve learned about how Teradata’s customers are exploiting Big Data.

Chris Twogood – Vice President, Teradata Products and Services Marketing
Chris Twogood is responsible for marketing Teradata products (database, utilities, and platform), Teradata services (professional and customer services), plus technical field sales support teams. Chris has twenty-five years of experience in the computer industry specializing in Data Warehousing, Decision Support, Customer Management and Appliance platforms. At Teradata Chris has had roles that span Strategy, Application Definition, Marketing, Product Requirements/Management, Platform Solutions and Product Marketing. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University at Long Beach with an emphasis in Marketing. He resides in San Diego.
Dr. Dave Schrader – Director of Marketing, Teradata Unified Data Architecture
Dr. Dave is a 22 year veteran at Teradata, focused on helping customers apply technology to business problems. He specializes in Big Data and Active Intelligence applications, use cases, and customer-focused case studies. He often speaks at conferences and has been an invited speaker on Big Data and Active topics at 15 universities in the past year. He is on the board of the Teradata University Network and is known for his innovative “BSI” (like CSI, the TV show) episodes on YouTube that show how investigators use analytics to “solve” real-world problems like excessive customer churn, product recalls, and marketing attribution. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University. Go Boilers!
