Jen Underwood – Principal Program Manager, BI
Jen Underwood is a Microsoft Sr. Program Manager of Business Intelligence & Analytics. She works with external groups, customers, channel partners, MVPs, BI professionals and application developers to better connect the outside world to engineering. Throughout most of her ~20 year career she has been researching, designing and implementing data warehousing, business intelligence and predictive analytics solutions across a variety of open source, niche and enterprise vendor landscapes.
Kamal Hathi – Partner Director, Program Management
Kamal Hathi, Director of the BI Group for Microsoft SQL Server, is responsible for managing the overall strategy, design, development, and delivery of SQL Server business intelligence technologies. The foundation of Microsoft’s end-to-end BI solutions, SQL Server delivers an innovative platform and tools that help organizations worldwide easily build and deploy robust BI solutions at all scales with low total cost of ownership.
Since joining Microsoft in 1996, Kamal has served in engineering management roles in various product groups and was one of the founding members of Microsoft’s BI efforts. Prior to Microsoft, Kamal had a diverse work history, including experiences in research and consulting. He has a graduate degree in engineering from Case Western Reserve University.

Amir Netz – Technical Fellow
Amir Netz is a Technical Fellow and chief architect of the Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) offerings. Amir is focused on the democratization of BI through end-user self-service enablement using Microsoft Office, SharePoint and SQL Server.
Amir holding over 40 patents in BI and Business Analytics technology. The products designed and developed by Amir have repeatedly defined the business analytics market. Some of his latest contributions include VertiPaq, the in-memory column-oriented data engine that at the foundation of the Microsoft BI stack, PowerPivot – a breakthrough self-service BI system for Excel, Power View – an interactive ad-hoc data visualization and exploration tool and Power BI.
