Data Gets Its Day
Summary:
Meet the new face of business intelligence: Tableau Software. Other solutions require expensive custom development, pre-defined data models and lengthy training. Not so with Tableau. Tableau shifts BI into the do-it-now era with the easiest, fastest and most agile solution in the market. Used by more than 10,000 organizations worldwide, and ranked by IDC and Gartner as the fastest growing BI company in the world, Tableau makes business users happy and saves IT time and money.
Presenter(s):
Suzanne Hoffman – Sr. Director, Analyst Relations
Suzanne has more than 25 years of Business Intelligence experience (long before it was called BI) beginning as a marketing manager for an Insurance company. Using SPSS, the only analytic product available, demographic and policy holder information was analyzed and measured to gain insightful and reusable data. Fast forward a few years and Suzanne spent her formative BI years with the launch team of PowerPlay at Cognos, Metaphor, as it was acquired by IBM, pre-IPO Arbor Software and nascent Hyperion Solutions, before becoming a consultant in the industry. She returned to a vendor employee environment with Tableau more than a year ago to help build the channel organization. She was recently tapped to create her current role advising analysts and thought leaders in business analytics.
Francois Ajenstat – Sr. Director, Product Management
As Director of Product Management, Francois Ajenstat is responsible for product strategy and product planning combining customer and partner feedback to set the strategic vision and leading the execution of new features and products. Prior to joining Tableau, Francois worked at Microsoft for 10 years in a number of different groups including SQL Server, Office and Trustworthy Computing. Prior to joining Microsoft, Francois worked for Cognos Corporation (acquired by IBM) leading strategic alliances with key industry partners such as IBM, HP, and Microsoft rounding out his more than 15 years of experience in BI.
